Well 8GB version dloads fine and loads up, but like others have stated it will crash to desktop (CTD) if you try to load up a historical battle, any of the prologue chapters and while it loads up campaign map fine it will crash after one turn or if u you attack and go into the battle mode.

Anyone aware of a fix or we just waiting for a more stable release from skidrow. It may well be Rome 2 itself but i see nothing on the official forums as of yet. Might try the full 18GB version to see if that is any better. I downloaded this and cannot get it to work and when i copy the crack into the destination folder i replace it and it says it cannot start because d3dcompiler_43.dll is not on my computer, i then re-installed it and made 2 copies in the folder so that it did not replace but just added a “(2)” next to it and then i opened the application, this did nothing and no loading cam up and now i dont know what to do. When the installer was finished it give me the option to run 4.exe files and i could check them, i didnt, could this be it? I also re installed it and ran them and it still did not work.

Can anyone please help me? Ok guys i ve had some issues with low resolution textures and weird shadows and light effects. After some lurking i found the solutions directily in the official forum at this link 1st problem low resolution textures = not enough video memory. Solution:- check the allow unlimited video memory from the graphic menu and/or run it in windowed mode. 2nd problem units looks dark when standing toward the sun and a general weird looking shadow effect= direct x problem, probably your card isnt compatible with dx 11.

Solution:- (I copy past this) Click start >Run Type in%appdata% Select Roaming >The Creative Assembly >Rome 2 >Scripts Open the file preferences.scripts.txt Look for the following line gfx_enable_directx11 true; # gfx_enable_directx11, Enable DirectX 11 rendering # and change it to the following gfx_enable_directx11 false; # gfx_enable_directx11, Enable DirectX 11 rendering # Click file and save Run Rome 2 with shadows working correctly. Hope it helps guys!

I ran the game on medium settings but was shocked to see the video quality. It was extremely low res and consisted of tearing, poor terrain rendering, pixelated units and shadows turning units completely black. I already tried running it on different settings but the end result was the same. Shogun 2 ran fine so I know its not a hardware fault, plus all my drivers are completely up-to-date. I’ve been really looking forward to this game.

The new updated have been posted!! Hope to see them here soon... In order to make the Language Packs work-I’m referring particularly to the Italian one but I guess the solution is similar for the others-I’ve done this: -download the first file (should be 999 mb or so); -download the second file (400 mb or so); -rename the first file rome.001 and the second rome.002.

The important things here are the EXTENSIONS 001 and 002, the name of the file can be whatever BUT it must be THE SAME for both files; -extract ONLY the file with 001 extension with 7zip. This way you will have the full Language Pack, which is divided between the two archives.

Hope this helps:-) •.
